FLOW
This project aims to celebrate recycled plastic. I've used 3D printing as a manufacturing technique as it produces almost zero waste and allows variations in shape and size. Inspiration for the shape comes from parametric design; the fluid, sculptural shape allows the table to be printed in one piece. The only additional detail comes from the color variations in recycled plastic.
Flow tables will be available both in physical and virtual formats. I believe virtuality helps us consume in a more conscious way; it is a playground that will help us rethink and modernize our physical environment. My work aims to build a connecting surface between the virtual and physical worlds.
The Flow Table was one of the Finalists for the Ro Plastic Prize 2023, and it was exhibited as a 3D-printed version during Milan Design Week 2023 at Palazzo Bandello.
